The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men’s and women’s soccer programs will host a free clinic for youth players on Friday, April 18th from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Korte Stadium.

“We’re excited to welcome the local community out to Korte Stadium for an enjoyable day of soccer and interaction with our student-athletes,” SIUE men’s soccer Head Coach Scott Donnelly said.  “As an athletic department, we always jump at the chance to give back to the surrounding community.”

The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 6-13 and welcomes players of all experience levels.

Coaches and players from the Cougar men’s and women’s soccer teams will oversee the clinic, which features various technical activities as well as small-sided games.

“Our student-athletes and coaching staffs are looking forward to a fun-filled evening,” SIUE women’s soccer Head Coach Derek Burton said.  “It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with the youth soccer community and have a blast doing it.  It’s going to be a great time.”

In addition to on-field training, a number of giveaways and an autograph session will be available for clinic participants.

If you wish to participate, please email your child’s name and age to SIUESoccerCamp@gmail.com or call men’s soccer Assistant Coach David Korn at 618-650-3738.
