Two of three lanes on Interstate 255 between Horseshoe Lake Road and Interstate 270 will be closed from March 31 until late fall, 2014, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced.
The lane closures will be for both northbound and southbound traffic. More than 43,000 cars travel that section of highway, according to the IDOT.
Pavement repairs, resurfacing and bridge work necessitated the closures, IDOT said.
