The Illinois Department of Transportation announced announced that daytime westbound lane closures on Interstate 270 for Thursday Feb. 27 and Friday Feb. 28 have been cancelled.
The pavement repair work was to take place between the Chain of Rocks Canal and the Mississippi River, near Granite City, but has been delayed due to freezing temperatures.
Work will resume when temperatures warm.
