Santa Claus spent 10 years away from the World’s Largest Catsup Bottle, and now, it seems, he cannot get enough.
The 12-foot tall, 400-pound Saint Nick was placed on a leg of the water tower in early December, where he remains into early February. President and CEO of the non-profit World’s Largest Catsup Bottle Inc., Mike Gassmann, said the snow and cold have been too much to bring him down.
“We don’t expect volunteers to get out in this mess to bring Santa down,” Gassman said.
For those worried about Mr. Claus being stuck on the 65-year-old landmark, Gassman said the jolly man may be enjoying his stay. “He feels like he’s hanging out at home, up at the North Pole,” Gassman said.
