The snow arrived in the early morning hours in the Collinsville area and is expected to move past by 9 a.m. Temperatures were at 29 degrees at 5 a.m. and expected to reach the low 40s during the day.

Street crews are applying salt to the roads, which were mostly clear by 8 a.m.

A slight chance of rain, snow and sleet is predicted throughout the day. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph, the National Weather Service is reporting.

Temperatures should drop into the teens tonight and struggle to reach the mid-20’s tomorrow. Another slight chance of snow is predicted overnight and into Friday morning.
