All vehicles must be removed from in front of uptown businesses prior to 7 a.m. Wednesday, when street crews will begin clearing sidewalks and curbs. Half of Main Street will be shut down during the process, expected to last up to two days.

The closures will be one lane, and one block at a time, City of Collinsville Communications Coordinator Julie Jackson said. The process is expected to take two hours per city block.

Large drifts of snow remained on the sidewalk in front of many businesses Tuesday morning.
