The Collinsville Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a burglary suspect caught in this video.

The suspect, who identifies himself as “John Underwood” in the video, is wanted in connection with a burglary near Cahokia Mounds on Sept. 30. He is seen in the video later that day unsuccessfully attempting to use a credit card stolen in the incident.

John Underwood is most likely not the suspect’s real name, Detective Bud Jeremias, of the Collinsville Police Department, said.

A witness saw a gold-colored car with tinted windows at the scene of the burglary.
