A convicted methamphetamine manufacturer was arrested Sunday at the Americas Best Value Inn in Collinsville for allegedly repeating the offense.

At the time of her arrest, Tamara Lynn Peoples, 54, of San Jose, Ill., was out on bail after being charged with methamphetamine manufacturer and possession of methamphetamine. The charges followed her arrest at another Madison County hotel in June, Stephanee Smith of the Madison County State’s Attorney’s office said. Peoples is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing on Aug. 30 for that incident.

Peoples, in custody at the Madison County Jail, was convicted in 2007 of making methamphetamine in her Granite City trailer home. She was released from prison in 2009, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections. Peoples was charged Monday in Madison County Circuit Court in Edwardsville with aggravated unlawful methamphetamine manufacture for the latest incident.

A preliminary hearing for Peoples is set for Aug. 30 at the Madison County Criminal Justice Center.

Amy Lynch, 32, of Granite City was also arrested during the bust Sunday. Lynch, who is currently on probation for a methamphetamine manufacturing conviction in April, was charged Monday in Madison County Circuit Court in Edwardsville with felony unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Lynch is in custody at the Madison County Jail and has a preliminary hearing set for Sept. 6 at the Madison County Criminal Justice Center. A probation revocation hearing is scheduled for October.
